General Manager
Job Description
Koto Restaurant is searching for an outstanding, experienced General Manager to lead all aspects of front-of-house service and management. The GM occupies an essential leadership and managerial role in the running of our restaurant—bringing warm, generous, and spirited hospitality to our guests and strong capacities for training, mentorship, and standards-setting to our service team. This is a hands-on, culture-building position that will lead the service team from the start of the shift to closing, deeply involved with running our dining room and cultivating the guest experience.
The successful GM will have an excellent understanding of our style of service as well as our food and beverage offerings, and will work to uphold our standards every day. In addition to the core role overseeing all aspects of service management at Koto Restaurant, the GM will also have responsibilities spanning reservations management, staffing, training, permit compliance, inventory management, HR generalities (employee handbooks, information distribution, disciplinary needs, etc.) and light administrative duties (payroll entry, invoice entry, bank deposits, etc.)
