THE POSITION
The Sales Manager actively supports the development of SSL's competitive position at the respective OEM's, drives SSL strategy for them by triggering, executing, and following up acquisition activities, leads the project teams and ensures project success by target-oriented project management.
Development and preparation of both tactical and strategical plans and budgets
Drives product portfolio management by ensuring generation of strategic business plans
Analysiss market and technology and supports business strategy generation
Active customer relationship management on operational and lower management level
Responsibility for all commercial issues of the dedicated OEM projects including development projects and corresponding sub-projects, engineering changes and price negotiations
Responsible for development project planning including setting priorities, coordinate, and monitor project success to guarantee project targets (time, cost, and quality)
Leadership of project teams to ensure project success
Operates in series delivery phase as escalation level for any OEM related issues

Job Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in technical, science or business studies (university / university of applied science)
Minimum of 5 years professional experience in automotive industry; or 10 years of more if no relevant Bachelor Degree
Sales expert
Project management experience
Successfully completed international projects
Demonstrated leadership skills at least as project leader, customer communication, and negotiation experience.
Travel up to 20% of the time (Domestically and Internationally)
Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will only sponsor internal Continental employees for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 7 years professional experience in automotive industry and degree preferred.
