Responsibilities As an Expert Developer you will put your knowledge of Software Development in Java or C# or C++ or .Net to develop Software for Government Health Research Domain. You will provide leadership and work with Software Architect, Software Developers, Systems Engineers, DBA's and Quality Assurance to develop high quality software. * Has mentored junior software developers on design patterns, development best practices and DevOps trade-offs
* Understand emerging web and cloud development models
* High scalability projects involving cloud-based infrastructure design and implementation
* Working knowledge of object-oriented design and development skills
* Successful track record of developing quality software products and shipping production ready software
* Good understanding of Web Services protocols for extensibility and portability
* Deep understanding of distributed data model
* Solid understanding of the Software as a Service (SaaS) model in the online environment
* Design, develop and implement unit and scenario testing for existing code base and for new functionality under development
* Working knowledge of Wildfly
* Knowledge of computer equipment and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives. Required Experience/Qualifications * Expert level Java or C# or C++ or .Net Programming expertise with at least 10 years of full time Java development
* Experience with all ancillary technologies necessary for Internet applications: HTTP, TCP/IP, POP/SMTP, etc.
* Experience debugging distributed systems with high data loads
* Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
* Experience as an applications programmer on large-scale data base management systems.
* Experience writing SQL queries for SQL Server, or another Relational Database is required
* Experience in Java programming with MVC frameworks and experience in JEE technologies like Servlets, JSPs, EJBs, Web Services, JMS, JAXB
* Experience with Spring, Struts and Hibernate
* Experience developing and deploying software on Windows Platforms Preferred Experience/Qualifications * Experience with Java/JEE, Spring, JSON, XML, REST, Distributed System, SQL Server, ePub3, MVC frameworks, Design Patterns, JavaScript, jQuery, GWT, JSON preferred
* Experience working with Rational Team Concert for Design, Version Control and Test management preferred.
* IBM Cognos development experience preferred.
* SharePoint development and administration experience preferred. Special Requirements/Security Clearance * Public Trust required
