Systems Test Engineer

Opportunity: The above client is looking for several mechanical and electrical Systems Test Engineers to test and verify flight hardware and electronic flight components and their subsystems for a new aircraft.

Core responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary based on specific role. Overall, systems test engineers will be responsible for:

• Establishing test plans, procedures, and implementation plans for complete and ongoing and repeatable testing of the hardware and/or aircraft system components (electrical, mechanical, energy, and software)
• Managing implications of system architecture and the components by creating relative tests
• Developing and managing tools to enhance productivity of the testing team
• Overseeing the needs of the Testing Team and providing recommendations for hardware/system components
• Performing hardware in the loop tests
• Performing tests to validate designs on the environmental and integrated systems
• Managing test equipment selection, and electrical/instrumentation equipments requirements

Requirements: You have 5+ years of experience as a Test Engineer who has developed testing plans, procedures, and implementation for vehicle structures and at least some of the following:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
• Verification and validation of mechanical and electromechanical systems
• Sensor installation experience
• Experience with LabView, Diadem/MATLAB
• High voltage electronics experience
• CAD experience
• Data acquisition experience
• Test fixture assembly and installation experience

Ideal candidate

• Experience with testing aircraft composite structures
• Knowledge of FAA certification process
