Role Summary:

Key player responsible to execute the company’s commercial strategy through the technical support of selling engineered fastening solutions into the five major industries: energy, automotive, agriculture, capital goods, and transportation.

Job Description:

  • Leverages channel strategies to create and implement a clear tactical plan.
  • Together with inside sales, works to establish new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers, planning, and organizing sales calls.
  • Demonstrates consultative selling skills to gain customer acceptance and win business by offering customer insight regarding value of product proposals through cost savings, warranty and operational improvements, and teaching them the unique features and proprietary solutions that makes our products the unique solution for their needs.
  • Leverages contract performance and pricing assessments to conduct customer business reviews; ultimately aligning upon and driving outcomes to optimize performance.
  • Develops account forecast proposals to project sales from new and existing customers, and champions resolution to possible back-orders situations.
  • Provide technical support solutions to our customers through all deployed channels.
  • Manage new business opportunities with urgency and effective communications, including engaging the proper EFG channels as needed (e.g. Customer Service, Quality, Costing, Engineering and Management). Activities involve quoting, product specifications, internal and external part drawings, and building the bill of materials.
  • Provides competitive market updates and summarizes market intelligence for internal stakeholders.
  • Visit customers to secure new business or resolve issues. Help oversee high priority projects, partner with inside sales and customer service representatives to help ensure project timelines are met.
  • May attend various trade shows and assist in booth staffing and connect with key buying influences.
  • Collaborate with team members in sales, marketing, engineering, and operations to improve processes and practices, in helping to maintain current business while gaining new ones.
  • Coaches & develops other Account Managers to elevate acumen related to, but not limited to strategic account management, account workflow, identifying growth opportunities, matching solutions to customer needs and overcoming obstacles.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date customer records through SFDC (Salesforce.com) CRM, Lead Forensics, Zoom Info and Hub Spot.

Requirements:

  • 5 years’ technical fastener sales experience with strong problem-solving skills, an understanding of selling to customer needs, and solid presentation skills
  • Language: English. Fluent and well-spoken with excellent technical writing skills.
  • Excellent computer skills which include MS-Office, CRMs
