INTERIM Nurse Manager Med Surg

A hospital in Maryland is actively seeking an INTERIM Nurse Manager Med Surg who can start immediately.

The INTERIM Nurse Manager Med Surg will work at a 350+ bed acute care hospital known for their cancer center, baby friendly birthing center, heart and vascular specialists, pediatric services, and surgical department. This hospital is part of a larger health system which provides acute care, outpatient, behavioral health, and primary care to patients throughout the region.

Reporting to their Director of Acute Care Services, the INTERIM Nurse Manager Med Surg will be responsible for leading and managing the fast paced medical surgical department. Responsibilities of the INTERIM Nurse Manager Med Surg include overseeing day to day operations, department staffing and evaluations, updating policy procedures, assisting to prepare for upcoming accreditation and surveys, ensuring regulatory compliance, and ultimately being a positive leader, mentor, and educator to both the employees and patients throughout the unit.

The hospital is located in an area of Maryland that is easily accessible from the suburbs of Maryland, Virginia, and Northern Virginia. As a W2 Employee for Clinical Management Consultants, CMC, the INTERIM Nurse Manager Med Surg will be offered a very competitive rate paid bi-weekly, healthcare benefits that begin the first of the month following their start date, paid-time-off, sick days, paid holidays, and more. Qualified candidates may also receive travel home, lodging and car rental. The INTERIM Nurse Manager Med Surg will initially be offered a 13-week contract which may also offer the option to extend or convert into health-system's full-time, permanent, direct-hire position should both parties agree.

The INTERIM Nurse Manager Med Surg should eligible or actively hold their Maryland or compact/multi state Registered Nurse RN license prior to starting. Ideally, the INTERIM Nurse Manager Med Surg will be available to start a new assignment within two weeks of accepting an interim position. The hospital is actively interviewing in hopes of finding a seasoned leader who is readily available and excited to jump in and positively lead, educate and mentor a driven nursing team over the medical surgical unit.
