Cloud Architect II
Description:
Our client has an immediate need for a Cloud Architect II, who will be responsible for working with architecture and engineering teams to produce high-quality technology solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in Business, Information Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on, progressive full-stack software development experience
- Experience with DevOps and cloud application development solutions, container orchestration, and continuous integration technologies
- Experience with Virtualization and server/storage technologies, cloud infrastructure design, software architecture and practices
- Experience with one or more of the following languages/technologies: C#, Java, SOA, Python, Ansible, Terraform, Shell/PowerShell, Python, Ruby
- Experience using integrated development and infrastructure environments, Linux, Windows, and public clouds
- Experience working on large-scale IT implementations involving Microsoft, Oracle, and/or similar technologies
- Experience designing and architecting infrastructure where appropriate in cloud environment
- Experience and understanding of large-scale infrastructure and applications portfolio in enterprise-wide environment
- Experience and understanding of large-scale application projects
Responsibilities:
- Providing architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to systems analysts, IT cloud engineers, and other systems architects
- Documenting and developing in-depth knowledge of company’s existing IT cloud architecture/infrastructure, and technology portfolio
- Developing and managing an IT cloud infrastructure capacity plan
- Developing, documenting, communicating, and enforcing a cloud technology standards policy
- Conducting research on emerging cloud technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility
- Developing, documenting, making recommendations, and communicating plans for investing in IT cloud infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities
- Designing, developing, and overseeing implementation of end-to-end IT cloud integrated systems from RFI/RFP thru production release
- Developing and executing test plans to check IT cloud infrastructure and systems technical performance
