Substation Project Manager Location:Rocky Mountain State/Territory: Department:Power Delivery Small Utility Services II Dept Description Substation Project Manager POWER Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager to support our Small Utilities region in the US North/Midwest. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the technical and financial aspects of projects for electrical cooperative clients; providing strategic technical and management counsel to client leadership; developing, maintaining, and improving client relationships; and marketing POWERs Small Utilities services to existing and new clients in the respective region. This position will require occasional travel to client sites and conferences. Roles and Responsibilities Other responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: + Promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships. + Provide leadership and mentoring to the project team. + Manage status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable and unbilled for each project. + Develop & maintain schedules, lead/participate in project status meetings with project teams, oversee budgets, participate in proposal preparation, take leading role in client relationships. + Demonstrate Project Management skills including scheduling, budget and cost analysis, managing project teams, as well as proposal writing, client marketing, and project presentations. + Collaborate with project design teams. + Work primarily with Small Utilities, but also interface with other POWER divisions, based on the nature of any particular project. + This position will require travel to regional clients. Candidates should demonstrate the following: + Honesty and integrity. + Attitude of service toward clients. + Strong initiative. + Willingness to share successes with the project team. + Strong command of the English language. + Strong written and oral communication skills in order to communicate professionally with internal team members and clients. Required Education/Experience + BSEE, BSEET, BSCE, or BSME, from an accredited university. + Ten (10) + years applicable industry experience. + Minimum of three (3) years relevant project experience. + Relevant experience includes small- to medium-scale project management, and/or project lead engineering experience on projects. + Understanding of small utility operations. + A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Desired Education/Experience + Fifteen (15) + years applicable industry experience. + PE license, or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire date. + Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools. + Engineering management experience.
