Overview BOOST is helping one of their successful clients hire a Software Engineer to join their growing team. As a software engineer, you will design, build, test, and implement software components to understand and protect people, networks, and devices from cyber threats. You will work closely with data scientists who provide expertise in machine learning, autonomy, and data analytics and domain experts to develop state-of-the-art solutions. if you would like to be a part of an innovative company that push your strength and help you grow, then this is the place for you. Responsibilities This is a research and development role. As an ideal candidate, you will be experienced with software development best practices and tools. As our client's interfaces with operational users and aspires to create practical solutions, the ideal candidate is similarly comfortable with developing and deploying prototypes while addressing the practical issues inherent in operational scenarios, such as complex data encapsulation, interoperability paradigms, specific processor architecture support, or bespoke deployment environments. Responsibilities * Design, build, test, and implement software products throughout the software development life cycle * Perform requirements analysis, system architecture design, code quality reviews, and configuration management controls * Implement processes, procedures, and standards to improve reliability and maintainability of code bases * Collaborate to harden and transition prototypes for production environments * Periodically work in a classified workspace * Collaborate on composing research papers, white papers, proposals, and presentations to customers supporting ongoing business development * Brief external stakeholders on proposed and ongoing research efforts Qualifications Requirements (Must have) * B.S. in computer science or similar field * Strong proficiency with C and Python * Experience in building scalable systems * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work as part of a remote team Desired Skills (Nice to have) * Experience working on DARPA programs * Active TS/SCI security clearance * Experience with User Interface development * Experience working in computational resource-constrained environments * Familiarity with the fundamentals of machine learning concepts * Familiarity with cyber-related data, tools, and techniques * Previous experience in a research and development environment * Previous experience working with U.S. federal and public sector clients Work Authorization Requirements * Must be a U.S. Citizen with an a ctive or current TS security clearance BOOST LLC is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
