Temporary Quality Assurance Technician (Near Midway Airport)
Job Description
Our client in Forest View, IL is looking for a Temporary Quality Assurance Technician. The position will last at least 90 days with the option of temp-to-hire.
This is a first shift position M-F 6:00am - 2:30pm at $23 hourly. All qualified candidates must be vaccinated from Covid 19 and be able to show proof of vaccination.
SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician works independently and coordinates essential Quality Assurance functions from raw materials through finished product release (includes quality control). Communication with manufacturing, R&D laboratory, Shipping and Sales is essential. Perform tests and inspections in an efficient and accurate manner to facilitate manufacturing schedule and demands by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Perform finished products and raw materials testing in an accurate, precise and efficient manner. Accurately review and analyze data for conformance to specifications and record test data. Analysis and procedures must show scientific judgement and be free of errors/omissions. Verify product compliance and alert management of any deviations from specs.
Work closely with manufacturing to direct batch adjustments and end-product quality. Generate product labels and Certificate of Analysis for finished products as needed.
Obtain and prepare samples as required for third party. Willing to take notes, progressively learning multiple testing methods per week.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: One year Quality and/or Chemistry related certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven track record working in a Manufacturing process, Quality Assurance Laboratory. Excellent organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and seldom lift and/or move up to 25- 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions by walking between buildings. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
