Network Technician / Network Operations Center Technician B with Security Clearance

Leidos Intelligence Group is seeking a Network Technician (NOC Technician B) to join our team! In this position you will support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), customer networks, intranet, internet, and other data communications systems or a segment of a network system. Primary Responsibilities Include: * Monitoring network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
* Proactively identify risks in the network and develop plan to mitigate them.
* Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
* Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
* Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.
* Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records.
* Review user requests for upgrades or additions to the network to assess impact on network performance and provide advice and guidance on the most practical technical approach to meeting user requirements. Basic Qualifications: * TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
* Ability to satisfy a government-administered high risk screening
* Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, available shifts include: 0600-1400 (6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.), 1400-2200 (2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.), 2200-0600 (10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.)
* Hands-on experience troubleshooting and fault isolation of IT business systems
* Strong understanding of the OSI model and configuration of routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, BGP, and LDP
* 10+ years of applicable work experience and education using one of the following combinations of education and work experience;
* High School diploma with 10+ years of relevant work history
* Associate's degree with 8+ years of relevant work history
* Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant work history
* Master’s degree with 4+ years of relevant work history
* PhD with 2+ years of relevant work history Preferred Qualifications: * Network certifications in Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIA, Juniper JNCIS, Juniper JNCIE, ITIL Foundations, and/or CISSP Pay Range: Pay Range $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 - $135,000.00
