Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a Software Developer in our Information Technology Department for our Columbus, OH location.
Our Software Developer will build and maintain the company’s application suite, review and provide input on tasks that can enhance our applications, address any support issues, assist others to resolve any production related concerns and log time to the appropriate projects and categories ensuring context can be discerned.

Qualifications
- Application development with C# (or a similar language), the .NET Framework, Azure DevOps/Git (or another versioning system), and an understanding of developing reports with Microsoft SQL Server Report Services (SSRS)
- Strong aptitude to learn new technical skills in order to support needed team products.
- Very strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, including being able to create and optimize stored procedures
- Professional experience developing commercial websites using ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, or another web application framework that interfaces with a SQL backend
- Must have a strong understanding of application related languages, toolsets, technologies, and processes. E.G. C#, JQuery, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Visual Studio, VSTS/Azure DevOps, .NET Framework, tSQL, etc...
- Must be an excellent problem solver with the ability to trace execution across all application tiers.
- Proficient with Windows operating systems and Office tools
- Must be familiar with agile methodologies, Scrum preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communications. Ability to effectively communicate with peers, manager, scrum master, and product owner.
- Is flexible to work outside of normal business hours.
- Is a highly motivated, well-organized, self-starter desiring an opportunity to grow both technically and professionally.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow the Functional Requirements of a Business Requirements Document.
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple work tasks.
- This position requires the execution of an Employment Agreement contract between Kimball-Midwest and the employee.
- This position requires the successful completion of a ninety (90) day orientation period.
