Program Manager-Domain Names Management

Domain names are critical intellectual property assets, as well as part of the technical infrastructure of web, e-mail, and other applications. The Domain Names Management (DNM) team sits within Enterprise Technologys Processes and Performance, Business Operations Team. The DNM team is responsible for management and governance of the company's domain name portfolio, front-line service for the domain names in the Corporate business segments, as well as supporting work involving domain names across the company.
Responsibilities :
This role will focus on request fulfillment for the many different workstreams the team handles on a day-to-day basis. This includes working with customers on full product cycle requests (requirements gathering, project planning, confirming milestones, and communication with the customer), updating status on daily request flows, project/program management - including everything from simple domain name registrations to complex DNS redelegations that require coordination with multiple teams.
Provide support for Domain Name Management activities across all of our brands
Keep project status and reporting activities up to date
Assist with research projects related to new products and advertising campaigns
Attend and actively participate in meetings with stakeholders across different business segments, document discussion, outcomes and action items
Help drive domain name management strategy
Review domain name and DNS monitoring data, and provide suggestions for follow-up
Provide assistance to domain name points of contact in other business segments regarding fulfilling requests, access to vendor tools, etc.
Work with our International business segments, including EMEA and APAC
Help identify when it is necessary to refer incidents to our Legal and/or Information Security teams, and follow up on needed actions
Basic Qualifications :
3+ years In a fast-paced enterprise technology environment at a multinational corporation
Work with 3rd party vendors
Communicate with non-technical customers to determine business needs and identify solutions
Business analysis
Client/customer success
Strong verbal & written communication across all levels of the Enterprise
Keen eye for details, including ability to discern one-character differences in data/reports
Ability to organize tasks/priorities and manage time effectively
Basic understanding of the domain name industry and the purpose/uses of domain names
Understanding of the Domain Name System (DNS), both client and server
Knowledge of SSL/TLS, CAs, CSRs
Must be able to adapt to rapidly shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications :
Name server configuration
DNS & Web redirect requests
Experience in technical writing
Familiarity with intellectual property concepts like trademark and copyright, and how they relate to domain names
Strong knowledge of DNS, web, e-mail, and other Internet service architectures
Understanding/Experience with the domain name business, including registrars, registries, gTLDs (new and old), and ccTLDs
Experience with transferring domain names
Experience with industry specific practices including UDRP, TMCH, PMLs, new gTLD launches, etc.
Understanding of the who is protocol, and using it to gather domain name registration data
Understanding of HTML, basic web design concepts, and 301/302 redirects
Experience creating, using, and maintaining open-source and/or bespoke software
Familiarity with Service Now, Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
Experience with Unix command line tools, such as grep, diff, sed, git, etc.
