Title: Class A Maintenance Repairman

Purpose: The Class A Maintenance Repairman helps service vehicles. A commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required for this position. The Class A Maintenance Repairman reports to Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor.

July 2022 Wage: $22.30/Hour

Class A Maintenance Repairman Qualifications/Duties:

• Must be 21 years of age, with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent

• Possess a Commercial Driver’s License
  • Must be able to operate all company vehicles and make vehicle change outs when required
• Must be able to read defect cards, and make sure the vehicles are parked as required for the efficient repair and perform the probing process including the collection of schedules

Class A Maintenance Repairman Duties:

• Must be able to service all vehicles accurately and efficiently:
  • Fueling
  • Checking oil, coolant, and other fluids (and adding as necessary)
  • Servicing on-board lavatories
  • “Thumping” tires
  • Washing the exterior (including backs and wheels)
  • Removing and replace minor electrical components (i.e.: light bulbs) when assigned
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision and keep up to date records of all work performed
• Other duties as assigned
