Sr. Analyst Treasury Accounting

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is located at BorgWarner's World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI but we are open to remote workers within the US.

The Treasury Accounting Analyst will be responsible for managing Treasury related accounting activities, primarily related to derivative accounting. This role is primarily focused on supporting the proper accounting for derivative related transaction including Foreign Exchange contracts and Commodity related derivatives. In addition, the role involves developing process improvement strategies, establishing policies and procedures, and implementing systems to maintain internal controls.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Account for foreign exchange related activities and support month end close process
  • Perform net investment hedge capacity calculations to support hedge effectiveness testing
  • Prepare OCI and related account reconciliations
  • Support quarter-end and year-end financial report disclosures
  • Organize special projects by establishing cross functional teams, communicating essential tasks, identifying critical goals and managing deadlines through project completion


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • 3+ years' experience in accounting or finance, prior derivative experience a plus
  • BA in Accounting or Finance required, MS or MBA a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly driven / self-starter
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
