Job Description

We are looking for a full-time/perm Quality Assurance Lead for a hybrid position in Louisville, CO for our client, a health care software-as-a-service company. They have a collaborative team, great benefits, good work/life balance, and stability.


The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for leading the QA practices for the Demand Insights team. The lead will develop, apply and maintain quality processes, test standards, documentation, procedures, and standards. The lead will recommend any corrective action needed and will partner closely with Software Engineers in Agile/Scrum.


This role will be hybrid, with the team collaborating in person at our Louisville, CO headquarters (near Denver), around once a week. The rest of the time, this position is remote.


Principal duties and responsibilities:

The teams go-to person for products functional knowledge, draws details from the product manager, product owners, stakeholders, and team members.

Design procedures and processes for maintenance of test plans, test cases, scenarios, scripts, and procedures. Able to relate functionality to test cases.

Create and maintain an automation framework and automated test suites. Responsible for defining the strategy for baselining the test automation coverage and executing the plan to increase the automation coverage quarter-on-quarter.

Establish the standards and processes for running the load/stress testing, derive the metrics, and guide the team on areas of improvement.

Plan & execute test schedules following project scope and delivery dates.

Collaborate with product and development teams to provide a high level of functionality, usability, and testability of the product during grooming.

Constantly evaluate and refine QA processes/methodologies and enforce them within all teams involved.

Responsible for release regression testing, integration testing, automation testing, and end-to-end testing. A key player in the decision-making of GO/NO-GO for promoting the releases to different environments.

Raise the alarm when there is a risk to the process, tests, or customers.

Requires very little or no direction. Determines & documents methods & procedures on new assignments and presents them to the team.

Participates in cross-functional initiatives. Communicates with technical & non-technical parties cross-functionally.

Recognizes that a broad solution is needed based on trends/root causes and recommends solutions. Asks the right questions.

Mentors new/junior teammates.

Troubleshooting quality & support issues and modifying test procedures.

Ensuring the successful deployment of products into the market by defining and implementing end-to-end product test strategies.

Required Qualifications:

A degree in Computer Science is preferred, or a related degree (Math, Engineering, Computers) required, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

4+ years professional QA experience.

Experience in code & requirement coverage measurement.

Experience in ATDD, TDD & BDD

Experience with work tracking tools (JIRA etc.).

Experience with maintaining test scenarios/cases and results using tools.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Experience working in an Agile scrum team environment.

Experience with load testing tools like Locust, JMeter, and Grinder.

Experience in UI and API automation using Selenium or other tools.

Experience creating and maintaining test automation frameworks

A large portion of the code base is ETLs, so strong SQL knowledge is needed.

Preferred qualifications:

Ability to demonstrate initiative, not only to accomplish assigned development tasks with a minimum of prepared documentation, but also to identify areas for improvement, and ability to combine these improvements into the product.

Programming experience with OOP language.

Experience with AWS.

Experience with CI/CD.

Experience working as a BA.

Experience in healthcare purchase order data


Salary - $110 - 140k
