DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Analyze, compare and interpret data collected from all Wastewater Treatment Plants and more than 380 Lift Stations, identify issues and take action to resolve discrepancies. Run daily reports as needed and by request. Designs, develops, tests and implements computer programs and provides technical support in programming, systems design, analysis and historical data maintenance.
Perform other duties as assigned. You will be required to be on call approximately every 4 weeks or as branch needs dictate. May require occasional field visits to Lift Stations or Treatment Plants.WORKING CONDITIONS
The position is physically comfortable; the individual has the discretion about walking, standing, etc.
This is a Department of Houston Public Works Management position at the Tier I Level.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Management and Information Systems or a closely related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Three years experience in systems analysis, design, programming and/or a closely related field are required.
Directly related professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
MINIMUM LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
