Transportation Senior Analyst Middle Mile
The Transportation Sr. Analyst Middle Mile Logistics role supports Best Buy through the coordination of freight movements and the analytics within one of the regions in the Supply Chain network. The responsibilities include: the overall execution of moving the freight from Best Buy DCs to Best Buy Stores, Delivery Pads, Outlet Centers, Recyclers, RLCs, metrics, key performance indicators, and managing carrier needs. This role will report to the Outbound Operations Senior Manager.

- Utilization of data-based metrics and facts to drive operational improvement
- Support Best Buys Outbound transportation program with a focus on continuous improvement of Speed, Spend and Service.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Distribution Operations, Retail Operations, Field Leadership, Category Enablement, Order Management, Crisis Ops, Reverse Logistics, Parcel and International
- Monitor the financial performance of the Outbound Operations freight budget
- Utilization of key financial and operational metrics to evaluate the business and make improvements
- Partner with Distribution Operations, DC leaders, and carrier representatives to develop an operational plan for yard management during holiday peak season
- Engage with stakeholders on exception management and support resolution of each exception
- Advocate for decisions based on what is good for Best Buy holistically and act as agents for change
- Use data and metrics to understand the business, identify areas in need of improvement, support others and measure the impact of our actions
- Utilize the Transportation Management System (TMS) to manage daily operations and perform analytics to drive improvements
- Support Best Buy growth initiatives by developing strategy and facilitating Middle Mile operations between carriers and fulfillment hubs
- Responsible for performance of dedicated fleet operation to include optimized delivery frequency, asset and resource utilization, reduction of empty miles, execution of store deliveries, and reverse flows
- Utilization of key financial and operational metrics to evaluate dedicated carrier performance
- Develop peak equipment needs and operational plan with dedicated carrier
- Engagement in carrier and vendor relationships, including operational and strategic engagements
- Utilize the Transportation Management System (TMS) to manage daily operations and perform analytics to drive improvements
- Support Holiday peak strategy, planning, and execution with internal and external stakeholders of Best Buys Outbound freight
- Collaborate with carriers and stakeholders on performance expectations, accountability, and improvement
- Carrier management: on time reporting, DP on time reporting, Fourkites utilization which enables enterprise cost transformation and customer-centric initiatives
- 1 or more years of Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related experience
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Microsoft Office Suite skills, strong communication skills (written and verbal), strong analytical skills, and analytical problem-solving experience
- Understanding of Retail industry and Retail supply chain
- College Degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of omni-channel retail industry and interest in supply chain management
- 3 or more years of Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related experience
