Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Program Manager to join our team in Washington, DC.
The selected individual will serve as the Program Manager for a large Department of Energy Scientific, Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) contract. The ideal candidate will have experience leading large programs of $50 million (or more) with 100+ personnel in the Federal Sector. The candidate should have experience interacting with senior Federal Government employees and contracting officers. Individual will be responsible for all financial, contractual, and overall quality of service to the Federal Client. Individual will engage Government leadership across the organization, highlighting and communicating innovative solutions and findings to multiple levels of leadership. Will be responsible to ensure client satisfaction with teams delivery and seek opportunities to expand and grow our work. The position is located in the Washington DC area conveniently located near Metro.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manager for all Monthly deliverables and communication between ManTech and Federal contracting officers
This individual is responsible to the Task Manager to resolve any issues of deficiency in meeting contractual obligations
Serve as subject matter expert for the for the travel system, marketing of the agency, communications with hill staffers, facilities, and DOE HR actions
Individual with responsibilities for the strategic direction of the Front Office and Communications team to meet the Goals of Leadership
Activities include liaising with DOE HR to ensure staff is being on-boarded and meeting the necessary federal requirements
Act as responsible individual for all deliverables to the clients, in terms of quality, timeliness, and accuracy of assignment
Responsible for all staffing decisions and assignments of roles for individuals
Responsible for all disciplinary discussion and determining corrective actions needed by staff
Serve as a liaison between Senior Management, customers, and interagency partners to address and resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
Identifies, acquires, and utilizes company resources to achieve project technical objectives
Build working relationships with subcontractors and vendors to establish team cohesiveness
Interface with external customers and senior management to communicate status of contract throughout life cycle
Provide strong organizational, planning and analysis skills in executing critical day-to-day functions and priorities
Perform a variety of both complex and routine administrative and analytical duties
Establish innovative solutions to complex contract requirements, program operations, and subcontract management
Mentor program direct reports in operations, program management and business development
Responsible for dispute resolution between staff and clients were necessary
Basic Qualifications:
Requires Masters degree or equivalent, and ten to twelve years of related experience including management experience of similar size
Requires Department of Energy experience at the Head Quarters level with increasing responsibilities working on Projects
Experience managing large programs over $50 million
Management of multiple programs simultaneously
Exceptional oral and written communication and negotiation skills as well as proposal writing skills and experience
Experience in transition and start-up of a new program
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP certification
Experience managing programs within DOE
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Must have the ability to obtain a clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
