AUTOMOTIVE PAINT TRAINER



Job Description

To train customers, sales reps and support staff on our automotive paint and ancillary paint products, as well as color tools, and provide technical support to achieve optimum results. You will be responsible for training collision repair shops, auto body suppliers and distributors on the features, benefits and proper use of our products in order to help develop customer accounts, and optimize sales to these customers. You will be required to travel extensively on behalf of the company in order to fulfill this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Provide the highest standard of courteous service to each customer through expert technical advice and product knowledge delivered in a prompt and timely manner.

2. Visiting export territories according to an annual schedule as developed by your Manager, as well as developing tactical objectives in coordination with the relevant manager for the territory.

3. Train new customers, Color-Matching technicians and Technical Representatives on the correct use of our Automotive refinish system, color tools and other paint related materials. This includes assisting customers with setup of mixing systems, color software and color tools, and ensuring that they understand and are comfortable in using the color tools and products as per technical data sheets, and are obtaining suitable results and productivity.

4. Assist customers in resolving color requests and communicating any color support to the responsible color contact for factory.

5. Assist training and onboarding of all technical sales staff, employees, distributors, jobbers and body shops on effective use of the Adam 5 Spectro and Motomix PC and cloud color software.

6. Support Technical Sales Representatives, both in the export markets and domestically, to ensure they are optimizing support to Jobbers and body shops, with primary objective of growing sales to these customers.

7. Advising customers on product options, performance features and benefits, and technical data as it relates to the portfolio of products being managed.

8. Schedule and manage customer visits in coordination with your Manager to collision repair shops, auto body suppliers, and export distributors as required in order to ensure we optimize sales and productivity to their business. This includes completion reports on company CRM software, in order to capture details of the visit and identify opportunities to supply products that they may be purchasing from other parties, and develop plan with Sales team to optimize sales to these customers.

9. Assist both Export and Domestic Warehouse Distributors, Jobbers and Sales Representatives, in recruiting customers by demonstrating the features, benefits and value of the Automotive Art Refinish System and related products relative to products that they currently distribute or use.

10. Assist management in gathering competitor activities, prices and market intelligence and in making recommendations on price and marketing strategies to optimize profitable sales growth in both Domestic and Export markets.

11. Make recommendations to management on new products required to fit market needs and assist in research and testing prior to introduction.

12. Keep your knowledge of automotive refinish products current at all times and demonstrate your dedication by constantly refining your selling technique.

13. Follow-up with customers to confirm that they are achieving good results with the use of our refinishing products, as well as assisting in troubleshooting and training on correct use and application where needed.

14. Prepare and host technical training and demonstrations (both virtually and in-person) of our product lines, color tools and color software in a professional manner and effective manner, that provides participants with a thorough practical understanding on completion. Includes providing post training assessment to ensure that the participants understood the material.

15. Assist in creating online training videos, in conjunction with Technical & Training Manager, for our products, color tools and processes to ensure that our customers have 24hr access to technical information on the correct use, application and techniques in order to optimize their results.

16. Inform your Manager if you have any ideas on how to improve our training, operating standards, practices and sales.

17. Meet the tactical objectives established by your manager.

18. Perform all duties safely and conscientiously.

19. Fulfill all other duties assigned by your manager.
