Provide data visualization, strategic planning, analysis, and project direction for the office of the Vice President of College Advancement and Community Relations, including information technology needs (e.g. Business Intelligence, enterprise software, intranets, Office 365).
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as project lead on major initiatives within College Advancement and Community Relations Department (CACR).
- Supports the work of the Vice President of College Advancement and Community Relations through the management of day-to-day operations helping assure compliance with college policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the oversight and management of the planning, execution and evaluation of College Advancement and Community Relations activities, events, and programs on behalf of the Vice President.
- Analyze data, define issues, prepare project reports, and keep Vice President apprised of project status, using appropriate and effective communications tools.
- Establish procedures to monitor processes, tasks, costs, schedules, deliverables, and activities in relation to project requirements.
- Develop and manage training for users on software specific to unit and provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to users.
- Work within a team environment to make contributions in all project phases including determination of business objectives, data acquisition, data processing, database management, and analytics.
• Ideate and help in cultivating innovative ideas to help solve problems through data driven approaches.
• Deploy portfolio of data and analytics services to drive efficiencies in areas through automation and improved business intelligence
• Collaborates with administrators and CACR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
• Serves as lead representative and liaison between CACR, information services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for CACR design and implementation projects.
• Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in CACR providers, vendors, and technology.
• Participates in developing systems to update policies and procedures.
• Facilitate the management and communication of information system changes that will impact College Advancement and Community Relations and college users.
• Recommend, prepare, monitor, and evaluate key conversion metrics and KPI dashboards by analyzing patterns, usage, and trends.
• Contribute to college’s direction and strategy, and influence decision-making based on information gained from deep-dive and ad hoc analysis.
• Serves on committees and represent the unit as assigned.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
• Reports to the Vice President of College Advancement and Community Relations
SUPERVISION GIVEN:
• May supervise full- and part-time employees as assigned.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Marketing, Advertising, Economics, or related field.
Preliminary Qualifications
• Three years related experience, including knowledge of computer software and operating systems. Experience in development and communications software/ platforms preferred.
• Experience with implementing business intelligence, data, and advanced analytics solutions.
• Experience working independently and self-managing projects supporting multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with Ellucian, bulk email software, texting/ communications software, SQL, and metric applications a plus.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Demonstrate problem-solving ability with emphasis on drawing inferences with data.
• Demonstrates expertise in the visualization of data.
• Strong presentation, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Must be able to provide excellent customer service and work under tight project schedules.
- Must be a self-starter who can assist the team on multiple projects or tasks concurrently and complete them on time.
• Knowledge and understanding of the community college structure, mission, policies and procedures, and the regulatory environment within which they operate.
• Ability to implement long-term projects while adjusting quickly to emerging circumstances.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to plan, initiate, research, organize and direct projects.
Physical Demands Work Hours40 hours. Working hours may vary and may include occasional evenings and weekends. Duties may require travel between campuses and to off-campus locations.Position Level4Salary$57,020 - $73,230 (2022 salary range) maximum salary upon new hire $57,020
