We have an exciting new job opening for a Sr. Power BI Architect to join our client’s IT team. This position will be in their headquarters located in downtown Fort Worth. Our client is modernizing their analytics platform (Microsoft Power BI) and is seeking an experienced Senior Power Business Intelligence Architect to play a key role as part of the Analytics Team. In this role, you will use your natural critical thinking skills to support the business in creating and maintaining insights that covers a broad range of business functional areas. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with members of the business on design and deliverables.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on delivering project milestones.
• Translate business needs into informative Power BI visuals, dashboards, and reports.
• Create analytics using a variety of analytic tools including Microsoft Power BI:
  • Develop and publish efficient data models including managing schedule refreshes.
  • Apply well written DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas to meet business needs.
  • Implement industry best practices to create useful Power BI Reports.
  • Create pixel perfect Paginated Reports using Power BI Report Builder.
  • Develop mobile-friendly reports for business users that are always on the go.
  • Understand security models and ability to implement row level security.
  • Configure, administer, and tune Power BI Premium capacity.
  • Design and deploy workspaces for business functional areas.
• Design visually appealing UX/UI using Power BI visuals.
• Integrate Power BI reports into embedded analytics.
• Demonstrate proficiency with databases (SQL Server) and SQL Scripting to obtain data for analytic needs.
• Demonstrate proficiency with ETL Scripts and tools.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience using Power BI, 3 years with Power BI at the enterprise level (not just with pro)
• Experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service/ portal/ tenant
• Experience with Power BI Report Builder
• SSIS – experience deploying packages and scheduling jobs and the ability to articulate what you have created
• Recent hands-on experience with SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS
• Experience with Work Spaces
• Experience with apps, setup and management
• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and supporting production databases.
• 5+ years of experience with creating visually stunning reports, dashboards, and analysis including implementing UX/UI best practices.
• Power BI certification is highly preferred.
• Experience with Power Shell and Python
• Knowledge of analytical tools (IBM Cognos, Tableau, Alteryx) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform is very useful.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent education and work experience.
• Ability to quickly learn, understand, and articulate various technologies available to solve business problems.
