ITSM Configuration Management Analyst
JOB SUMMARY
This team member will support the successful deployment of IT Configuration Management practices based on the ITIL Framework. Responsible for ensuring that a structured approach to service management is developed to integrate Configuration Management into a comprehensive solution that facilitates Business and IT strategies. Ensures that IT Configuration Management follows the guidelines set forth by leadership, while working closely with the functional teams and business units.
The ITSM Configuration Management Analyst is part of the Service Transition team under the Service Management Office.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Participating in the design and development of new services
Supporting service deployment activities
Ensuring that configuration data is available when and where it is needed to support other service management processes
Identifying changes to the customer environment and technology trends that could potentially impact the type, level or utilization of services provided
Continually work towards making improvements in the Configuration Management processes.
Coordinating interfaces between Configuration Management and Change/Incident/Problem management and other service management processes
Reports on key performance metrics related to IT Configuration Management.
Creating, reviewing, and updating CMDB requirements and processes with cross functional teams to ensure CMDB accuracy
Collaborate with management in support of audit compliance for IT assets.
Monitor asset data quality and completeness and ensure issues are identified and escalated to the responsible data or process owners.
Performs other related technology duties and projects as assigned related to CMDB and ITSM.

Education
Bachelor%26rsquo;s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Certification / Licensure
ITIL v4 Foundation Certified
Work Experience
1-2 years of experience in enterprise IT Configuration Management, asset management, and/or automated discovery configuration.
Experience with configuration item creation, service level management, and service creation management.
1-2 years%26rsquo; experience with Enterprise ITIL Application Solutions.
Experience working with stakeholders at all levels of an information services department.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge of IT Service Management principles
Skilled in risk analysis, contingency, and mitigation planning;
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Outstanding attention to detail
Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner across functional and technical departments, both verbally and in writing;
Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced work environment
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, stakeholders, outside organizations and vendors.
