Overall Purpose

This position will directly support Early Warning’s CTO business line and will play a leading role on the Financial Planning and Analysis (“FP&A”) team. The individual will be responsible for (a) defining and executing fact-based analyses that illuminate the Company’s IT operational and financial performance (past, present and future) and for (b) preparing annual operating/financial budgets and related rolling forecasts.


Essential Functions

  • Support the IT Project Portfolio planning process – on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Deliver IT forecasts, annual budgets, & long-range plans inclusive of capital expenditures,
  • Analyze variances for both project and run-rate forecasts, budgets and actual results; perform capitalization and labor rate analysis, expenditures, trends, etc. Provide insightful variance commentary and articulate actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain and enhance multiyear models in support of capital, run rate and capacity planning
  • Acts as a liaison between Finance and Accounting to support the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy across financial statements. Partner with Accounting to ensure timely and accurate capitalization of labor; support impairment and CIP review analysis; perform monthly project related accruals; reconciliation of Adaptive Project Actuals to GL.
  • Support creation of business cases calculate and analyze NPV, ROI, IRR and payback for capital investments and projects
  • Prepare a variety of regular and ad hoc financial reports/statements/metrics for management’s review, inclusive of procuring and validating data from multiple sources
  • Prepare presentation materials including graphs, charts, and data summaries needed for management meetings and may present findings as appropriate
  • Perform Adaptive Insights administrative tasks including ongoing labor rate analysis; validate and forecast capital labor rate assumptions; validate system driven formulas; create and modify Adaptive ad-hoc reporting
  • Support the company’s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields.
  • Demonstrated accounting/finance experience;
  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skillsAbility to communicate effectively, articulate ideas, results of financial analysis, and actionable recommendations
  • Experience required in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, business cases, and cost accounting.
  • Strong general knowledge of GAAP rules and requirements
  • General organizational, problem solving, and communication skills required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Diligent, highly accurate with extreme attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate results with senior level executives
  • Background and drug screen


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting IT within a Finance support or analysis role, highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Adaptive Insights, Tableau, MS Dynamics (Great Plains), and Planview a plus.
  • Prior financial modeling experience in a Technology/Information Services environment

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
