Automation Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Carlsbad, CA that is seeking an Automation Engineer. Responsibilities:
  • In this role, the Automation Engineer will design and implement automated code unit tests in the continuous integration/continuous delivery -CI/CD- pipeline
  • Provide design documentation and support team peer reviews, including initial design and design -as-built- cycles
  • Identify and select the automation test cases
  • Apply various designs and documenting the automation test strategy
  • The Automation Engineer will create an automation test plan and get approval
  • Configure Selenium Test Environment (STE)
  • Automate the design of a framework
  • Implement framework it as per the structure of the project
  • Create, enhance, debug, and run the test cases
  • Collate and monitor the defect management process
  • Manage the changes and execute regression tests
  • As an Automation Engineer, you will develop exact solutions for problems related to object identity and error handling

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of automated testing experience
  • Knowledge of common tools such as Jenkins, Github and Jira is preferred
  • Understanding of Network Trafficking Tools (ie: SolarWinds, Wireshark, Cacti) is required
  • Previous experience performing automated testing of Software created in Python preferred
  • Telecom or Satcom industry experience a plus, not required
