Floor Manager- Host Focus



Job Description

Butcher & The Boar is opening in Fall 2022! We are looking for a great floor manager who will have a focus on a host team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • To oversee the restaurant's general operations. To ensure the general cleanliness of the restaurant on a daily basis and the proper upkeep and maintenance to make sure the restaurant operates at an optimal level.
  • To assist with training of FOH staff and hold every employee of the restaurant accountable for their conduct in line with the policies of Jester Concepts. Address and report all misconduct of any employees and complete any necessary documentation relating to incidents with staff or guests. Build and support a culture within the staff that is respectful, professional and positive.
  • To enhance the guest experience on a daily basis. To be present on the floor and be aware of how the restaurant is operating at all times when on site and to handle any and or all situations that may arise with service. To garner customer feedback from tables, management and staff as well as to establish relations with the customer as much as possible through food running, pre bussing, and table touches.
  • To constantly be checking on drink and food ticket times to ensure timeliness of our product to the table as well as ensuring that our service staff are executing the proper steps of service.
  • Make Staffing decisions as appropriate for service.
  • Directly manage the host team and host training and development. •
  • Work with the General Manager to maintain and adjust reservation system to optimize bookings, ensure smooth services and be available and accurate to guests. •
  • Hire and train hosts. Work with AGM to create host schedules and ensure coverage of hosting shifts.
  • Develop relationships with guests and update guest profiles with information to improve our hospitality. •
  • Review bookings and strategically plan seatings to optimize service flow and offer the best experience to guests.
  • Lead through example at the host stand.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:

  • College preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in FOH management of a full service restaurant or 5+ years relevant experience in FOH position of a full service restaurant.
