Job Description

Recognized as one of the finest Mediterranean seafood restaurants in the world, Estiatorio Milos was founded by acclaimed chef Costas Spiliadis who has made it an unparalleled culinary destination in Montreal, New York, Athens, Las Vegas, Miami and London.

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the below:

  • Prepare basic components of each dish on our menu using established recipes;
  • Memorize and utilize our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in kitchen;
  • Ensure kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards;
  • Work with a team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts as needed;
  • Monitor product freshness and rotate our old products based on schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One (1) year previous experience in upscale cooking and kitchen administration;
  • High School diploma/GED;
  • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and under stressful situations in an orderly fashion;
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with co-workers and management;
  • Must adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures, as well as, all restaurant practices;
  • Must be able to take constructive criticism and be willing to always improve;
  • Must demonstrate sound judgment and maturity in his/her decision-making ability, even when dealing with difficult situations;
  • Must possess and demonstrate great attention to detail in order to maintain appearances and operating standards;
  • Must learn & retain all food ingredients, descriptions, and techniques;
  • Ability to progress in career path and a rewarding work environment. Physical Requirements:
  • Work standing and/or walking for eight (8) hours or more per day;
  • Must be able to handle flexible schedule, to include regular overtime;
  • Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs. at a time
