- Manages the workload and ongoing development of Human Resources staff.
- Supports the development of departmental goals, objectives, systems and helps establish departmental HR metrics that support the accomplishments of the company’s strategic goals.
- Ensures company compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, worker compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and so forth. Maintains minimal company exposure to lawsuits.
- Oversee Recruiting and temporary services providers. Review job offers, ensures I-9 compliance, and ensure that background checks and drug screens are properly administered.
- Oversee Onboarding – Effectively orient new employees, ensure accurate completion of new hire paperwork, and provide facility tours.
- Conducts thorough and fact-based employee investigations and interviews, reviews and edits disciplinary write-ups, ensures proper and productive performance management actions, provides or oversees employee training, ensures accurate and timely performance evaluations, and oversees the employee termination process while ensuring regulatory and legal compliance. Ensures the policies and procedures are implemented and enforced properly. Coach’s and trains employees and leaders in their communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction with employees who report to them.
- Ensure proper administration of all workplace safety programs and accident prevention methodologies, and properly administer OSHA Reporting and Record Keeping.
- Manages employee communication and feedback through company meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisfaction surveys, employee focus groups and one-an-one meetings.
- Oversee various human resources programs such as tuition reimbursement, uniforms, ID badges, sports teams, community events, etc.
- Oversee compensation and group benefits administration and ensure full coordination with insurance brokers, 401(k) administrators, etc.
