Senior Data Management Analyst

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Data Management Analyst to develop/lead programs for data quality, governance, and metadata activities. Reporting to the Domain Governance Manager in the Corporate Risk Data Management & Governance team, this offers work on a new enterprise policy to deliver data governance for the Corporate Risk organization; requires targeted communication to educate multi-level stakeholders on importance/impact/value of data governance.

In this role, you will:
  • Work on domain wide governance activities that impact all areas of Risk
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver key data governance activities
  • Work on creating a domain level business glossary to help drive consistency across the organization
  • Develop/implement plans to assess quality of new data sources
  • Lead project teams/mentor less experienced staff members
  • Be central contact point to drive planning/coordination on low-to-medium sized remediation
  • Leverage domain expertise and data/business/process analysis for solution input/support
  • Consult with clients to assess current state of data and metadata quality as assigned
  • Execute on companywide data governance strategies with cross-functional teams

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Data management experience with data quality, controls/governance, metadata activities
  • Experience developing and monitoring compliance with policy and standards, specifically around metadata
  • Experience with process design or improvement experience
  • System and controls testing experience
  • Proven experience tracking/managing enterprise policy compliance
  • Experience using workflow management and reporting tools (i.e., SharePoint, Jira, Tableau)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Experience conducting project meetings, presentations, and status reporting
  • Experience using data management and governance tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial industry compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of risk and regulatory reporting
  • Experience with risk and control concepts
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of data integrity management practices and procedures
