Accountant

The Staff Accountant is an entry to mid-level public accounting professional who will work directly with our clients and be an integral part of delivering high quality assurance and tax services. Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and workpapers for audit, review, compilations, agreed-upon procedures, and other attestation engagements
  • Assist experienced engagement team members in planning and coordinating various stages of various assurance engagements
  • Ability to prepare and maintain key management reports including but not limited to cash flow statements, overhead budgeting analysis, monthly and annual profit and loss projections, etc.
  • Perform regular monthly bookkeeping tasks
  • Prepare tax returns including corporate, partnership, S-Corporation, trust and individual tax returns
  • Keep up-to-date on current accounting, audit, and tax practices and changes in laws/regulations
  • Respond to client inquiries and taxing authority notices

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Licensed CPA or CPA eligible (Reimbursement and additional compensation for obtaining CPA
  • license is available)
  • 1-2 years of Public Accounting experience
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Previous Creative Solutions Accounting software and QuickBooks experience a big plus
  • Develop and maintain positive professional relationships both internally & externally with clients
