Under supervision of Dietary Operations Manager, assists with food service procedures in order to serve food to residents. Obtains & stocks food & other dietary supplies from storage; opens cans/cases/packages. Portions, slices, chops, grinds, re-thermalizes & assembles food according to verbal &/or written instructions &/or medical orders. Maintains clean work area &/or equipment; cleans & sanitizes work area (i.e. floors, walls, counters, sinks) & equipment, takes out trash. Scrapes, rinses, washes, sanitizes pots, pans, food carriers, trays & other kitchen equipment in order to maintain proper sanitation standards by use of automatic dish-washer or manually. Puts away kitchen equipment when not in use. Delivers food &/or dietary supplies to residential cottages by use of food service truck. Maintain inventory by documenting food usage, overages and shortages. Attends meeting & in-services as required.

Qualifications
Formal education in reading & speaking common English vocabulary & formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction of whole numbers. In accordance with Section 124.11(B)(2) of Revised Code, Director of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination.
-Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
