Senior Contract Manager - Sales (Remote)
A Senior Contract Manager performs or supports a variety of law-related activities that do not require a law degree (including legal or factual research, contract administration, document preparation and/or analysis, or management of legal process) Their responsibilities are within the Legal Support Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.
Additionally they support the Legal Organization in all areas of the business by managing processes and programs. Drafts and negotiates contract clauses, conducts legal research and prepares memoranda, guidelines, training, educational materials and other written product in areas of commercial transactions, litigation, employment law and corporate law. Interacts directly with internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedures and any other relevant policies and standards as directed.

The anticipated starting pay range of Colorado applicants for this role is $88,600 - $114,800. Key Responsibilities
- Other Incidental tasks related to the job, as necessary.
- Assists attorneys and legal team with evaluating, reviewing, and revising standard agreements and contracts; drives change management for standard contract and contract template changes
- Performs other types of contract review, including service contracts and vendor agreements
- Manages initial legal response and provides front-line support for highly complex contract requests, working with stakeholders to ensure all required terms are included in contract and that the contract is ultimately completed
- Owns tracking, management, and execution of assigned RackLaw tickets
- Provides project and program management services for Legal projects and initiatives
- Audits internal business processes and workflows to identify and improve inefficiencies; owns end to end processes including improvement, performance, and feedback
- Participates in legal negotiations
- Supports commercial or other litigation as assigned
- Identifies, analyzes, researches, and resolves highly complex legal and business process issues and makes appropriate recommendations
- Identifies and assesses the level of risk and addresses appropriately
- Maintains corporate record books; drafts, edits, and produces in final corporate documents
- Updates shared drives and document sharing systems with all changes and documents
- Manages the document retention program
- Reviews document requests, provides evaluation to attorneys and manages the collection of documents to respond to subpoenas or other government requests
- Tracks and prepares regulatory filings
- Mentors lower level Legal Specialists
- Other incidental assignments related to the position
Knowledge/Skills
- Expert knowledge of all aspects of company standard contracts and agreements
- Expert knowledge of legal terminology, principles, and compliance processes
- Expert knowledge of Records Retention statutes, policies, and management systems
- Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
- Demonstrated advanced research skills
- Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues
- Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate technical and compliance information with a wide range of individuals
- Ability to recognize and analyze complex legal issues and understand business requirements
- Advanced communication skills, verbal and written; and demonstrated ability to effectively interface with colleagues and clients
- Advanced writing/drafting skills
- Advanced skills in use of legal reference materials, including electronic resources
- Demonstrated skill in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Advanced time management skills and demonstrated skills in tracking and executing against deadlines
- Able to handle multiple simultaneous and complex tasks and projects effectively and efficiently
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from and accredited institution
- At the manager's discretion, additional relevant work experience, along with a High School Diploma, A Levels, or equivalency, may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
- Paralegal or other legal specialist certification preferred
- 8 - 11 years of relevant experience, building capability to perform the role at the expected level
- Extensive experience utilizing judgment and learned knowledge to plan and accomplish goals
- Experience drafting, evaluating, and editing content, structure, and format of a wide range of written material including contracts and other legal documents
- Experience providing training and informational sessions and creating materials for internal stakeholders and interactions
- Experience in project or program management at the regional or global level
- Experience working in a fast-paced corporate legal environment preferred
