Network Engineer

Manpower Engineering is looking for a Network Engineer for our client in the Madison, IN area. This is a perm-hire, onsite, day shift role.

What you will be doing:

• General network support to ensure the stable operation of the organization's IT This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links.
• Will work with network equipment to maintain and keep things up-to-date. This includes configuration, routing protocols, Windows servers, TCP/IP, firewalls, hypervisor setup (Nutanix, VmWare or Hyper-V).
• Will not perform day-to-day helpdesk support, more like Tier II/III. Tier I support when help desk person is out.
• SD-WAN experience is helpful. If understand routing protocols, can figure this out.
• Switching infrastructure is aging and will need to be replaced eventually.

Who we are seeking:

• Associates degree in computer-related field with 6+ years' experience or, if no degree, 10+ years' related work experience
• Would like someone with a more laid back, easy-going personality with sense of humor.
• Experience with managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs,
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, modems, network interface cards and installing network cabling and managing telephony systems
• SAN network storage configuration and management (preferably EMC and SD-WAN)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (Nutanix or VMware)
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft servers and configurations including operating system (all levels), SQL, Exchange, Active Directory and Azure
• Help desk experience and end-user support and using help desk software
