Restorative Nurse

We are currently in search of a qualified candidate to join our clinical leadership team as the Restorative Nurse!

The Restorative Nurse is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and supervision of the restorative nursing program for the facility. Additionally, candidates will be expected to function as the liaison between formalized therapy and nursing to promote a restorative nursing philosophy among all facility departments. Candidates must be capable of working closely with the floor nurses and certified nursing assistants to insure that the Restorative plan of care is being followed thereby, promoting resident’s to their highest level of function.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following;

· Maintain current list of resident’s participating in restorative programming,

· Set up documentation flow sheets and/or electronic medical record system,

· Documentation of quarterly progress notes,

· Works closely with Nursing, Dietary and Therapy departments to ensure that specific recommendations are carried out on a consistent basis,

· Completes following sections of the MDS; G, H, J 1700 A-C, J 1800, J 1900 A-C, O 0500 A-J, P 0100 A-H along with corresponding Care Area Assessments,

· Oversees resident ADL performance, oversees CNA documentation on ADL’s and provides inservice training when necessary.

Candidates must possess a current, unencumbered RN or LPN license issued by the State of Illinois and current CPR certification. Ideal candidates will be restorative certified by an accredited school or recognized accrediting agency.
