Tiber is seeking a Software Developer who holds an active TS/SCI with a FSP, to work in the Annapolis Junction area. The candidate will perform software developer duties in support of test engineers. The candidate will ensure the systems under test meet all measured criteria and will work as a team to support a larger organizational effort. Duties/Responsibilities:
* Test systems and make minor modifications and feature changes to suit specific testing requirements * Make modifications to an existing codebase using Java, JavaScript, and Python * Identify user needs and develop applications using make files or comparable build environments
* Lead projects that develop complex software
* Maintain a collaborative environment in support of configuration management * Communicate both orally and in writing on testing status to technical leads and customers
* Collaborate with other department engineers Qualifications:
* In depth experience in programming with object-oriented programming languages like C, C#, C++, and Java
* Experience managing & deploying software applications across large-scale systems using technologies such as Salt, Puppet, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Docker.
* Proven skills in developing Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments, or UNIX applications
* Strong understanding and applicable experience using Apache NiFi and/or Map/Reduce to perform at-scale streaming and batch processing as applicable.
* Experienced in software development processes- designing, programming, testing, editing, documenting, and maintaining software appliances
* Prior experience in utilizing and modifying major testing systems
* Experience with Hadoop File System (HDFS), XFS
* Applicable experience integrating and interacting with non-SQL data storage solutions such as Apache Accumulo, Hbase, or MongoDB.
* Skilled in developing scripting languages like JavaScript and Python code Benefits:
