Job Description
Amwaste of Georgia is looking for local tractor trailer drivers to join their growing team. This is a Monday through Friday position with only occasional Saturday work. Drivers are home each day.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Have an acceptable driving record
- Have a valid CDL class A license
- Have a valid Medical Card
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
Duties & Responsibilities: Our Tractor Trailer drivers are responsible for the hauling of waste debris from transfer stations and large, high volume waste producing customers.
The driver is responsible for performing assigned duties on their route. This physically strenuous position involves mounting and dismounting a heavy-duty truck many times each day. In addition, the position involves lifting (up to 50 - 75 pounds), pushing, pulling, and bending.
Our drivers must have safe driving records and the ability to communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and our customer service department. Our drivers also must accurately complete daily reports and vehicle inspections. They must comply with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and with all company policies and procedures. This is a local position usually requiring 45-55 hours per week.
