PRODUCTION COACH TRAINER
JOB SUMMARY
The Production Coach Trainer oversees the production training program and coaches others in how to effectively perform job functions. This position may be responsible for multiple roles and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Uses job knowledge experience and training skills to provide associate orientation job instruction and task mastery to production associates.
• Motivate associates to achieve maximum quality and productivity.
• Monitors, measures and documents associate performance and reports to leaders regarding progress towards working at required standards.
• Learns all processing areas and workstations
• Assists in the completion and maintenance of department processing and training materials
• Observes and enforces all company personnel, quality and safety policies
• Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that associates work effectively and cooperatively together
• Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodology such as Six Sigma
• Other duties/tasks as assigned
Nature and Scope
• Conducts training needs assessment
• Works independently or with minimum supervision
• Ability to work with diverse personalities
• Ability to acclimate new associates to elements of the work experiences and company/floor culture.
Education and Experience
• 2 years of college preferred
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to work under minimum supervision
• Basic understanding of Excel, Word and Infinity
• Broad knowledge of product lines.
• 10 years manufacturing or assembly plant experience
• Labor relations experience preferred
