Compensation: $33.25 to $38.50 hourly
There's currently a long-term contract / temporary opportunity at Robert Half for an experienced Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy and a knack for solving complex problems. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every day
- Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments
- Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
- Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
- Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
- Implement monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
- Bring a daily dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
- Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Other projects as necessary

- Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
- Experience with ERP systems
- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
- Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
- Deep understanding of Monthly Financial Statements
- Excel Formulas experience highly desired
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience
- Quality experience with budget forecasting
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- General familiarity with general ledger
- Well-founded grasp of general ledger
- Wide ranging experience with journal entries
- Financial statement preparation experience required
- Practical knowledge of account reconciliation
- Earlier work involving QAD
- Month end closings experience
- A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

- SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
- Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
