Job Description
Summary
Provides diagnostic clinical testing services to patients of the occupational medicine division within the scope of individual certification and regulatory requirements. Specific duties may include: vital signs, height/weight, vision testing, pulmonary function testing, electrocardiograph, phlebotomy, specimen collection, audio testing and X-ray.
Entry-level position for those who have some relevant experience, training and/or education. Must learn job skills and become familiar with Laboratory policies in order to complete assignments. Limited use and/or application of technical principles, theories and concepts. Tasks performed are relatively simple, but may require the application of basic skills related to the technical specialty. Incumbent develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope. Employees in jobs at this level have minimal responsibility for end products. Directions given by supervisor are specific and detailed, and work is closely supervised.
Education
Position typically requires a high school diploma and a minimum one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
