As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility. You will also participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and look over schedules for the reporting processes. This position involves a good deal of time spent on producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. - Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules
- Help with the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
- Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
- Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision
- Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
- Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
- Play a role in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

- Deep understanding of Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
- Experience with Subcontractors
- Hands-on experience with Excel Formulas
- Knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains Accounting
- Comprehension of construction project accounting
- Account Setup experience highly preferred
- Adeptness in Multiple Vendors
- Earlier work involving Construction Industry
- Background working with payroll
- Microsoft Excel experience preferred
