Human Resources Benefits Specialist

A large regional financial institution is looking for a talented employee benefits expert to join their human resources team. This Benefits Specialist will report to the Benefits Manager and assist with administering the company’s employee benefits, strategy and wellness program.

Specialist will create and distribute benefit information, reconcile invoices and assist with open enrollment and wellness program. Highlighted Duties:

· Assist with all employee benefit programs, including healthcare, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, life insurance, incentive programs, wellness program and 401(k)

· Assist with development and analyzes of new employee benefit strategies, plans and programs for implementation companywide

· Manage company’s wellness program

· Coordinate rollout phase and assist with open enrollments

· Point of contact to employees and managers with employee benefits questions and issues

· Experience complying with all applicable laws pertaining to employee benefits

· Resource for HR and Payroll staff regarding understanding and compliance with benefits, HR policies and procedures

· Prepare and audit monthly benefit invoices

· Reporting and analysis of benefits administration and cost

· Company contact with insurance carrier representatives and vendors

· HRIS data entry and reporting, assembling and organizing educational meetings and presentations

Highlighted Requirements:

· 2+ years’ experience in corporate benefits administration including wellness programs

· Human Resources experience a plus

· Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations

· Advanced Excel user, experience using HRIS and payroll systems

· Good customer service skills-- outstanding oral and written communication skills

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy needed to successfully manage multiple projects and responsibilities

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field a plus

· Travel between regional company locations as needed
