• The Platform Engineering & Delivery (Private Cloud) team provides services and solutions for the planning, design, implementation and support of operating systems, virtual infrastructure, storage and backups.
• Sustaining Storage & Data Protection supports industry standard NAS and SAN platforms to provide both a stable and robust business environment.
• The Lead Platform Engineer will be responsible for providing technical leadership across a distributed virtualized environment.
• The candidate will support key project driven initiatives, as well as operational tasks to maintain the integrity of a distributed virtualized environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, implement, and support new technologies within the infrastructure environment.
• Leads and/or assists key projects and deliverables related to the infrastructure environment.
• Maintain stability of the infrastructure environment.
• Support and coordinate scheduling and execution of system maintenance, release updates, upgrades, and/or new technology deployments adhering to companys standard change management protocol.
• Effectively complete complex projects and installations within aggressive time frames and budget parameters.
• Develop and produce timely metrics based on the required management platforms.
• Execute performance and statistical monitoring to develop procedures and best practices which improve overall environment.
• Perform comprehensive Evaluation of new feature or product technologies resulting in insightful analysis and recommendation
• Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience
• Expert level experience:

• Dell/EMC VMAX, PowerMax, Unity, VNX and VNXe platforms.
• Unisphere and SYMCLI
• Working knowledge:
  • STAR and SRDF replication technologies.
  • NetApp OnTap 9.x with a focus on NFS and CIFS.
  • NetApp SnapMirror replication.
  • Brocade and Cisco fibrechannel switches.
  • Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Networking principles

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters, or equivalent experience

2. Minimum of 6 years of related experience

3. Experience with Sustaining Storage & Data Protection supports industry standard NAS and SAN platforms to provide both a stable and robust business environment.

4. Experience with Dell/EMC VMAX, PowerMax, Unity, VNX and VNXe platforms.

5. Experience with Unisphere and SYMCLI

6. Experience with STAR and SRDF a plus

7. Experience with NetApp OnTap 9.x with a focus on NFS and CIFS. a plus

8. Experience with NetApp SnapMirror replication a plus
