Senior Accountant - (Manufacturing)
Senior Accountant - DIRECT HIRE - Hamilton, OH or Greenville AL
Reports to Controller
Annua lBonus: 10% of Salary
Relocation Assistance (dependent on candidate and case-by-case consideration)
Schedule and Shift Hours:
Hybrid Remote: MON, FRI (remote) and TUES-WED-THUR (office)
Flexibility with scheduled days
Exception: Required to be in office on month-end days
Schedule: traditional business hours of 8am-5pm (with flexibility and based on business needs)

Position Overview
The accountant is responsible for financial reporting activities within Connector Manufacturing Company, part of the Light Industrial business unit. The role can be located at the Hamilton, OH or Greenville, AL facilities. This role will support the Light Industrial Accounting Leader to accurately reflect the financial performance of the businesses.
Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as key point of contact for financial reporting
Guide establishment of cost standards and monitoring of costs within the business
Establish and maintain robust controls and compliance with clientpolicy and procedures
Support internal and external audits including providing documentation for compliance with SOX Key controls
Complete monthly closing journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis
Provide support for preparing and loading annual operating budget and monthly forecasts
Assist in execution of annual physical inventories
Execute fixed assets physical in accordance with company policy
Work with Light Industrial project managers to accurately record capital purchases from acquisition and depreciation through disposal
Identify opportunities to increase the efficiency of the close process through enhancement of existing procedures and utilization of financial systems and tools
Assist in process improvement initiatives
Complete ad hoc financial information requests and various special projects as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance
1-2 years Accounting experience, preferably within a multi-site manufacturing organization
Excellent working knowledge of transactional accounting and internal controls | SOX
Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (V-lookup, pivot tables) and PowerPoint
Good understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Self-starter who can work independently and employs time management skills to meet stated deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively and enlist cooperation in all areas impacting performance goals
Desired Qualifications
3-4 years Accounting experience, preferably within a multi-site manufacturing organization
SAP, HFM and OneStream knowledge is helpful
Knowledge of Power BI is helpful
Experience in continuous improvement initiatives and implementing finance and accounting best practices
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
