Shipping Clerk
Must be able to lift over 50 pounds, bend-over and move materials as required. Must have basic computer skills, be task oriented, and a highly accountable/dependable individual.
Requires the ability to read, write, in English, and perform basic calculations, and must have enough basic education to understand and follow standard practices and instructions.
Responsible for shipping customer orders
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to change
- Moves items to and from various locations with the use of equipment; such as carts and or totes. Some lifting will be required
- Check shipping method to ensure proper packing for carrier.
- Check shipping price paid to ensure proper packaging of item
- Double check shipping price before printing out postage label
- Properly package items to ensure no damages while in transit
- Pick the correct item ordered on pick ticket to avoid sending item to wrong customer
- Secure packages for carrier pick up
