Warehouse Manager, Night Shift- Savannah, GA

Paper Chemical Supply, a division of Imperial Dade, leading national distributor, has a position open in Savannah, GA. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for ensuring the warehouse is compliant with the company's policies and vision. The incumbent will oversee receiving and maintenance operations while setting up layout to ensure efficient space utilization throughout the facility.

  • Ensure productivity targets are achieved and all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with companys policies and vision

  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, and maintenance operations

  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization

  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures

  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements

  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security

  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data

  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system

  • Annual budget involvement

  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies

  • Plan work and assign tasks appropriately and appraise results

  • Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees

  • Produce reports and statistics regularly

  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided

  • 2 years of proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager

  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices

  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives

  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases

  • Leadership skills and ability manage staff

  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Safety Management, surveillance and inventory control skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
