Job Description
Position: Staff Clinician II OMHP
Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Reports to: Program Manager
Location: Lubbock, TX

Position Description:
The Staff Clinician QMHP will provide a range of social work and therapeutic activities to children ages 3-17, and their families in the Lubbock area. This Staff Clinician QMHP will utilize a short-term, strengths-based approach to help families resolve presenting concerns. This position is designed to provide and connect clients with a range of services geared toward engaging, supporting, and coaching parents, children and youth.
Experience/Skills Required:
- Master’s degree in social work or related human services field.
- LMSW, temporary LPC or temporary LMFT; or be in the process of applying for a LPC or LMFT temporary license; or be eligible to take the certification test.
- QMHP training (Social Skills and Aggression Replacement Techniques (START); Seeking Safety; Preparing Young Adolescents for Adulthood (PAYA); Nurturing Parenting Program; Barkley’s Defiant Child/Defiant Teen; Wraparound Planning Process (Must be completed as a condition of employment once hired)
- Illness Management and Recover; Assertive Community Treatment; Individual Placement and Supports; Permanent Supportive Housing; ANSA assessment (May be required as a condition of employment once hired)
- Child & Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) assessment (Must be completed as a condition of employment once hired)
- Staff Member Competencies per the Texas administrative Code (Must be completed as a condition of employment once hired)
- Evidenced Based & Trauma Informed Interventions (TF-CBT) (Must be completed as a condition of employment once hired)
- CANS and CPR (Must be completed as a condition of employment once hired)
Experienced/Skills Preferred:
- Entry level acceptable with one year's experience.
- Experience in case management, crisis intervention, or child welfare.
Travel:
- Yes. Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have a valid Texas driver license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret data, information and documents.
- Ability to analyze and solve non-routine problems.
- Ability to observe and interpret situations as well as learn and apply new information or skills.
- Ability to perform detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks.
- Ability to interact with staff, clients, the public and others encountered in the course of work.
Work Conditions:
- Environment: Office, Client homes, Community Settings
- Range of Schedule: M – F, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, Occasional nights or weekends
- Travel: Frequent, Local
