We are now hiring for a Mechanical Tech 12 hour rotation shift work schedule! The main function of the Mechanical Tech is to ensure that equipment and machinery are working optimally. Install machines and machines parts as well as conduct their maintenance and repair.

Core Job Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain and repair machine and machine components.
  • Test machines and troubleshoot in case of problems.
  • Assemble machines.
  • Involved in the machine building process from the blueprint stage and planning the progress of the project.
  • Perform workshop functions like welding, soldering, brazing and working with lathe machines.
  • Record the performance of each machine with regard to intake and output and present it to the management.

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Relevant Work Experience
  • Certification course or a vocational course in mechanical engineering concepts.

Additional
  • Experience working with the basic concepts of different kinds of machines.
  • Experience with installation and repair of machines and the correct usage of the tools.
  • Knowledge about the safety precautions while working with machines.
  • Knowledge about the permissible standards to be maintained for machines.
  • Ability to analyze and zero in on the cause of trouble and rectify the problem.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
