Sales Representative

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the sales activities required to sell fresh produce to new and existing clients
• Source low-cost inputs from sister plants and external vendors to promote value added production
• Work in tandem with internal teams to determine production and sales schedules
• Work with production coordinator to establish sales forecasts and spot loads
• Establish strong communication channels between Sales and Processing
• Coordinate sampling sessions to reach new and existing customers
• Document customer complaints and disseminate to employees
• Assist with logistics and scheduling
• Support Sales Administration activities
• Facilitate receiving from outside sales
• Lead production meetings
• Provide training to team as required
• Be an advocate for customers in the plant

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing
• 1+ year of previous sales and product development experience working in a related industry
• Previous experience with poultry and prepared foods preferred
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Eye for detail and aggressively meets deadlines
• Willingness to travel 10% of the time and take overnight trips
• Strong customer orientation
• Comfortable working in a production plant
