Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Specialty Benefits Business Product Owner with ownership to manage multiple business capabilities within a line of business
  • Build knowledge on the product/ capability supported and continuously update your knowledge on the product
  • Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project
  • Conduct research and interviews to understand the business problem to be solved for backlog creation
  • Work closely with developers and quality assurance analysts to ensure requirements are understood
  • Act as the liaison between business and development team to bring business ideas to life
  • Work closely with business teams to strategize solutions that support long term business objectives
  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared backlog to work on
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Work to drive stakeholders to key decisions and communicate those decisions
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience driving capability enablement and product development in a large-scale, highly matrixed team environment
  • Demonstrated experience in verbal and written communications and presentations at the executive level
  • Demonstrated experience in agile delivery methods

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with AHA and Rally
  • Experience with SAFe, LeSS or similar frameworks
  • Experience in the healthcare insurance domain
  • Ability to work with business leaders and understand their vision
  • Ability to lead and manage change initiatives

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
