PRINCIPAL APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER - HYBRID

The Principal Oracle Application Developer delivers the technical solution for a project that meets the business needs and allows the project to meet its goals. This role will lead the day-to-day activities of the development resources both on and offshore, as applicable, including collecting status, answer questions, and resolving technical issues. The role will propose the Technology solution and get it approved by the Architecture Review Board or Collaborative Architecture Process and will be both accountable and responsible for delivery of that solution to the specifications. During the technical solution phase, they will provide leadership and direction, balancing the business requirements and the architecture direction, and get the final solution approved by the Collaborative Architecture Process or Architecture Review Board. Under general supervision of the Project Manager, the Principal Application Developer plans, codes, assembles, tests, debugs, implements, documents, and maintains routine and non-routine application programs within the applicable environment. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, software constraints, operating time, and form of desired results.

Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).

1. Leads efforts in design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of computer systems. Programs complex programs without assistance.
2. Resolve incidents related to Oracle Fusion directly or through managing managed services support teams.
3. Lead efforts in the design, coding, analysis, testing, and rewriting of programs and prepares preparation of documents for the System Document Life Cycle process.
4. Develops the overall solution design for the project, codes, assembles, tests, debugs, implements, documents, and maintains routine and non-routine application programs within the applicable environment
5. Works with Vendors to efficiently integrate with internal applications, following the architectural standards.
6. Manages technical requirements including creating requirements for the infrastructure team and creating the job schedule.
7. Answers technical questions and resolves technical approach issues that come up during the project.
8. Recommends Coding Standards or configuration standards if they don’t exist for that technology (to be approved by architecture team).
9. Ensures that technical deliverables and practices are of appropriate quality and thoroughness and adhere to IT approved standards, methodologies, and templates.
10. Consults and mentors technical resources concerning methods, procedures, and standards to be used during design, development, and unit testing phases of system development projects.
11. Interviews, assigns, and evaluates development staff resources, both on shore and offshore.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10 or more years of experience in Oracle financials, procurement, product data hub and EPM
• 2 or more years experience with Oracle Fusion preferred.
• Oracle Fusion report writing preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Advanced knowledge in SDLC methodology, conceptual design and analysis required.
